Pancho’s was born in 1956, after a surprise family trip to Mexico sparked something big: a love for bold flavors, good vibes, and bringing people together over great food. The family came home to Memphis with a mission — to bottle up that unforgettable experience and share it with friends, neighbors, and anyone who liked to have a good time. That’s how the original Pancho’s restaurant came to life.

According to family legend, Pancho’s was the first place queso appeared on the menu. And once people tasted it, there was no going back. Made with real cheese and just the right mix of spices, Pancho’s queso quickly became the kind of dip people couldn’t stop eating or talking about.
